Colonial Tanner

Today it was a hard day being a tanner. I spent several hours moving hides from pit to pit. the pits were filled with ooze. I got bark off the trees by myself. I finished the leather. Tanning requires a lot of water, time, and patience. I soaked, stirred, and washed hides. I was stinky and smelly. I removed the hair by sweating the hide. I went home and saw my children Richard and Tristan.
